ℹ Important Guidelines & Tips:

🎟 One-time entry only: Once you leave the salt lake area, you cannot re-enter without paying again.

Card payments are accepted at the entry of the slat lakes

→ Use the toilet before entering!

🚻 Toilets and showers are available outside the lake area.

🧂 There are two pink salt ponds:

Right side: Larger, less salty, lighter pink

Left side: Smaller, more salty, deeper pink color

� � Follow the correct order:

→ First go in the pink water,

→ Then apply the black mud and wash off (Entering mud before the salt water is not recommended / allowed)

⏱ Maximum 30 minutes in the salty water is recommended.

❗ People with cardiac (heart) problems are not allowed to bathe in the salt lakes.

⚠ The mud smells bad, but has a 100% revitalizing effect on your skin and body – it’s worth it!

🚫 No swimming or splashing in the salt ponds!Just floating

→ Salt water in the eyes can burn – use your bottle water to rinse immediately if needed.

🚿 After the mud treatment, rinse off in the mud pond or in the sea outside the salt lake area. 🪨 The shore in front of the entrance is rocky.

👉 Walk 150 meters left (towards the sea) to reach a sandy beach with a lifeguard.

🌊 Sea becomes deep quickly – approx. 1.70 m after 2–3 meters.

The healing salt baths at Atanasovsko Lake near Burgas are hot, salty, stingy – and strangely liberating. 

Here you can enjoy the therapeutic qualities of bathing and floating in pink salt water followed by a sulphurous mud bath. The swimming pools with lye and healing mud are a completely natural spa experience.
